On Wednesday, September 9, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Men’s Selection Committee selected the India A squad for the upcoming home series against Australia A, comprising two multi-day matches and three one-day games in Puducherry.
While the two multi-day games commence on Tuesday, September 22, the three-game One-Day series starts on Tuesday, October 6. All the games will be played at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground in Puducherry.
Devdutt Padikkal is all set to lead the multi-day squad, with Sai Sudharsan named his deputy. On the other hand, Ruturaj Gaikwad leads the India A One-Day squad with Devdutt Padikkal named as his deputy.
Interestingly, Hardik Pandya has been named in the One-Day squad. However, his participation in the three-match series is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE). Meanwhile, pacer Vijaykumar Vyshak’s availability for the red-ball series is also subject to fitness clearance.
