Famous numerologist Vidyabhushan has revealed that the 24-year-old opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal will open the innings with the veteran opener Rohit Sharma in the forthcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2027, which is scheduled to be played in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
Taking to his official X platform, the numerologist wrote that Jaiswal is highly likely to get his chance in the World Cup 2027 squad. He further stressed that there is a strong possibility of the 24-year-old batter opening the innings alongside Rohit.

It’s important to note that the ODI captain Shubman Gill is currently the opening batter along with Rohit Sharma. While Jaiswal is currently seen as a back-up opening choice, he is not a regular part of the One-Day set-up.
For the unversed, Jaiswal has played six One-Day Internationals (ODIs), scoring 285 runs at an impressive average of 71.25 and a strike rate of 97.60, featuring two centuries and a highest score of 116 not out.
On the other hand, Rohit scored 175 runs in the recent three-match ODI series against England at an average of 58.33, highlighted by a magnificent 138 off 110 balls at Lord’s. Meanwhile, the talismanic No.3 batter Virat Kohli scored 144 runs across 3 matches with a high score of 74, averaging 48.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is planning to start the mega event on October 2, 2027 (Gandhi Jayanti), moving up from the provisional start date of October 4, with the final scheduled for November 21.
